Samaritan Health Services is recruiting for a System Analyst position. This is a Full time position M-F Days. Position performs applications support for Meditech NUR and would be involved with the implementation of this module. The individual in this position develops a working understanding of overall environment including applications support and interfaces. Opportunity to support complex enterprise business system by performing software installation and configuration, problem analysis and troubleshooting, develop and execute test plans, provide on-call support.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Act as subject matter expert for assigned system(s).
Provide business/systems analysis in support of NUR and other applications.
Provide assistance with scope, definition and documentation of requirements and specifications for changes to existing systems and those in process of being implemented.
Assist in the evaluation of vendor systems.
Assist in developing policies and procedures.
Provide education, training and documentation, both formal and informal, for users and technical staff, on existing and new computer systems.
Provide user support and resolve issues with production systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, healthcare or related field.
4 years' progressive experience working with system 'Life Cycle' phases (functional specifications, technical specifications, coding, testing, training, etc.)
Experience working in health care environment.
Ability to understand technical material such as technical specifications
Strong analytic skills
Excellent communication skills
