We are implementing an other vendor interface to a SeeBeyond Datagate
Interface Engine, which we have had in place for a number of years.  We are
running into a number of issues and I was wondering, if anyone else had
encountered the same issues.

1.  Occasionally the background communication processes stop processing
messages but don't show any errors.  When the detail of the process is
viewed the time has been incrementing normally, but the process is not
processing the messages.  The outbound messages show QUEUED in the outbox.
We have not setup alerts, but I assume the alerts would not show anything
wrong either.  None of our other interfaces have this issue.

2.  Meditech appears to occasionally fail to process the ACK correctly for
an outgoing message.  It then sends a second copy of the identical message.
Our receiving Laboratory System (not Meditech) receive the order for the
same patient, same test and same time and cancels the order as a duplicate.
When we examine the order it is a completely identical second order with the
same message ID#.  The receiving system is not capable of tracking duplicate
ID#'s.

We are currently scheduled for go-live on November 1 and any insights or
assistance anyone could provide would be very much appreciated.
