April, at EPMC, the manager of the new user's department fills out & sends an online Outlook form that goes to several departments, including to IS. IS creates the network and Meditech logons & passwrods. We create forms that are usually given to the new user during their orientation day. At the same time we show the user how to get on to the network and Meditech, though we don't do in-depth training at that time. In some cases, depending when the orientation will occur in relation to the start date of the new user, we give the sealed logons/passwords to the manager of the department to provide to the new user (along with training). Good luck! Gary Hall Clinical Applications Specialist Estes Park Medical Center Information Systems Department 970-577-4443 We are trying to improve our process of setting up new users with Meditech and Network system access. What is your process for giving new users their logons, by letter, email a one-time password to their supervisor, does someone in your office go out and train them on how to access the system and give the passwords to them at that time?
