Your help would be greatly appreciated in answering any or all of the
following information regarding who has access to your electronic
medical record for my CIO:
1. Do you allow any of the following parties to access your electronic
medical record?
Independent physician office staff
Independent physician billing staff (non employed by independent
physician)
Extended care facilities (long term care, rehab, etc.)
2. Do you allow these parties access to all information available in
the EMR?
Demographic only
Patients associated with their provider only
Other restrictions, please specify
3. What is your audit process, i.e. who audits, how often, audit by
patient, user, etc.
4. Do you restrict providers to viewing only their patients?
5. Have you found a way to restrict physician office personnel to view
there providers patients only?
I did check the archives but much of the discussion was old and we are
especially interested in sites using MPM and LSS.
