FW: [MEDITECH-L] Barcode Readers/Scanners

We are using the Symbol DS6608 tethered scanners. So far they seem to be working great. I haven’t found any barcodes it will not read so far. We have just begun scanning in our pharmacy, but so far it is reading RSS Stacked, DATA MATRIX, and all other barcodes I have come across.

The Metrologic Focus MS 1690 is supposed to be pretty good also.

Our Hospital is looking to begin using Barcode Readers/Scanners in a variety of Departments. We are looking to scan in Patient Account Numbers, Drug labels, etc Do any of you have any recommendations on which Barcode Readers/Scanners have worked well in your Organization?
