We use Access eForms as our forms vendor in our paperless initiative.
We are very pleased with their products and service.
We currently have close to 2000 forms available via the EFR
(Repository). This allows staff to select which form(s) to print with
patient and form bar coding to allow for more efficient scanning. The
form creation software is very easy to use and intuitive.
We use the PFS (Patient Flow System) product to manage the wide variety
of forms and labels that are generated upon registration. Some forms
are printed while others are sent straight to optical disk for later
retrieval in the electronic medical record. With this product we are
able to customize the output for three different hospital, outpatient
areas, patient type and status of registration (i.e. PRE, SCH, REG,
etc). We also utilize electronic signature using esig pads. The
consent forms print, the patient signs the consent on the esig pad and
the signature is captured electronically along with biometric
information. The patient is then able to take the signed consents home
as their copy.
Access eForms is very willing to engage with us to explore possibilities
and functionality that is new and different. If we had the level of
support and service with all our software vendors that we have with
Access eForms, my job would be much easier.
