For those
of you Magic users using eMAR, We are having some dificulty with the pharmacy
scheduler discontinuing meds in PHA. The dc does not come across to
the emar well. It can be seen in the view order screen, but not in the status
column of the emar itself. Whaen pharmacy sees the med, it shows as
dc'd. Also, When you are acknowledging a med that the schedulaer has
dc'd, you are really acknowledging the dc and not the med order. If the RN
places a hold ack on the med order, it causes issues in the pharmacy because the
med is already dc'd. If the RN documents on the med after the scheduler
has dc'd it,there is no flag that you are giving a dc'd med, the med will then
dc itself in the status of the eMAR. We have an 8 hr parameter to display
inactive meds. How are other facilities handling these auto scheduler
problems?
