Hi, I actually worked in the update group at Meditech for quite some time. One of the benefits of doing an “off hours” weekend update is that the staff at Meditech is there and typically JUST concentrating on your update. During regular business hours, the specialists need to divide their attention to daily work, meetings,  and typically multiple updates in a single day.  The feedback I always received was that most health care organizations felt the extra $ was well spent on the weekend updates.

We have done all our upgrades on Sundays 9am - "whenever". We pay the additional feel. We have never asked the departments what time on Sunday is best. Sunday is the least disruptive for the organization.

I was wondering if Randolph Hospital is the only facility that has a horrible time making everyone happy when to do the updates such as 5.5.

My understanding is that Meditech does it 9am Mon - Thurs or pay $$$ for 3 or 5 am Mon - Thur or pay More $$$$$ to have it done Sat/Sun 9am.

3 or 5am options are not available on Sat/Sun.

Most everyone is in agreement except for Diagnostic Imaging.  They want it done after 11 pm Saturday and before 8 am Sunday.

Can others tell me when you do the updates.

Thanks,

Nancy Lucas
