Does anyone have a thermal label format for compounds that will have a
liquid med print out in ml instead of mg. For instance, the following label
was generated:
Diphenhydramine 75 mg
Mag/Al Hydrox/Simeth 30 ml
Lidocaine 2% 30 ml
Total: 90 ml
Is there a way to either have the Diphenhydramine print 75 mg (30 ml) or if
this isn't possible, just 30 ml? I changed the 473 ml Diphenhydramine in the
drug dictionary so it is just ml because of this, but someone used the unit
dose which is in as mg/ml in the drug dictionary. I have changed the
compound prompt to N so they won't use this entry again, but this could
happen with other meds that we use as compounds.
Thanks,
Charlie
