Hi,

I am testing and getting ready for BMV. Has anyone had any success using the Premix field (without altering the Generic Name field to include strength/conc)

One example:

Levofloxacin 500 mg/100 ml PB.    If I set this up as a premix in the dictionary and enter as an IV carrier, it looks okay in the Scan Medication field in the EMAR.

Something like this: Levofloxacin 500 mg/100 ml   100 ml/hr.  Looks okay right?  If you look in PHA profile, however, then you have Levofloxacin 100 mL as the description.- not very useful. If you edit the generic name to include the strength then it looks okay in PHA but would be a mess in NUR eMAR.  The med scans just fine using the manufacturer barcode but the description is the problem.

Has anyone used this with success? Do you know if it will work okay with POM?

Thanks,

Ed
