We are having trouble with editing the ordering provider after orders have been 
completed and I am wondering what other hospitals are doing.

For example, a user in Order Management, enters the incorrect doctor as the 
ordering provider.  This error gets missed during chart checks.

After the patient has gone home, and the doctor reviews his to be signed orders 
list, he sees the incorrect order and he will not sign it out. 
The EDIT PROVIDER verb strip option works on some things, but not others.   We 
have tried any number of access combinations, including using the OE ACCESS 
user setting of "allow edit orders after discharge" and nothing seems to help.  

Meditech will remove these orders from the incorrect doctors esign list, but 
that only cleans up the list, it does not correct the ordering provider 
problem. 

Any ideas?
