Hi Tim,

An ADM report that uses the adm.reg.index (registration index) is what
you need. Select by Facility and date and place fields as needed onto
the picture. The only catch is the "location" as the report will report
the current location no matter what you do.

The solution is not simple but you could arrive at the location by
looping through the events and extracting the first inpatient location.
To be safe, I'd probably list the locations in a slash variable
subscripted by the date and time effective for the event. Then eliminate
the locations that are not inpatient. At that point the first element in
the structure is the "admitting location". The technique you choose to
arrive at this "admitting location" is going to involve some effort and
you should probably consult the report writer group at MEDITECH if the
above sounds too much.

Hope that helps.

Say Hi to my friends in the IS department there.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] ADMISSION REPORT C/S

Hello L'ers

I've been asked to edit the admission register report
(ADM.PAT.in.admit.reg.num - in C/S) to sort by location rather than
name, location, or time as the standard report s do. I've initialized
the standard to a zcus and added the proper sort field, but, as the
index on the standard report is incorrect for the primary sort of
location and there doesn't appear to be a location index in this DPM the
report takes too long to run. Are there any of you who have built one of
these that runs well that would be willing to share it or make
suggestions on how to alter mine? Thanks in advance for any and all
responses.
