I'm also interested in this. A worklist as opposed to a care plan? Personally, I think we'll see care plans as we've known them disappear in the next ten years, in part due to online documentation. But right now, will JCAHO or the DOH go for it? I'm curious to know what others think, so I hope some of you will chime in. Sharon

Hello, L-users!

We are a 43-bed, Magic 5.5 site. Currently, we have canned care plans and document our admission assessments and medications online, with future plans to move all documentation online. At the start of the year we will begin to revamp our care plan process—streamlining and making the entire process more efficient. At MUSE last May, I attended a session by a hospital where care plans had been replaced with worklists, but I didn’t write down the name of the facility! I would appreciate any information l-users have about processes and outcomes in this area.
