Dan,

At our hospital, all meds on in-house patients are profiled by a pharmacist
before they are accessible in Pyxis except by override. The Emergency
Department Pyxis meds, however, are not profiled by pharmacy so no pharmacist
sees the order. ER meds are pulled from Pyxis by the ER Nurses which places
them as a “STK.MED” on the e-MAR. The nurse then documents administration.

Hope this is helpful.
