I would say the fact that Meditech will add the duplicate intervention to the plan of care. We had to do some education with the nursing staff to let them know that the newest intervention is the one below the others. Also, it helps if the ward clerks or whomever is entering the order adds a date in the supplemental text. We also had to adjust our admission intervention sets and create an order set for the admission NUR orders to help the transition.
Otherwise, we really like this interface. Saves time, sends the message to the Status Board and gives some tracking to nursing orders that might otherwise simply be written on a card that is tossed in the trash.
