We are contemplating implementing Bedside Registration in our Emergency Room.
We are a C/S 5.4 site that has Valco's Paperless Registration application in our ED. I have a few questions regarding scanning and process design around the bedside registration. 1) What is your process to get the patient in the system prior to triage or getting to the Bed? 2) How do you ensure that every patient has been 'seen' to fully register them at the bedside? Do you have a tracker? A manual log? Etc... 3) Are you scanning? If so, do you scan at the bedside or at a central location? 4) What were your initial issues converting to bedside registration?
