We are a client server hospital looking into case rating certain surgical procedures. Has anyone figured out a way to do this via BAR (at the claim level?)? For revenue and usage we want the ancillary modules to send over their charges. We realize we can use the Edit a Claim feature, but, do to the volume, we don't want to manually edit all the claims. These case rates are also Not part of our insurance contracts so printing all the charges and relying on a CPT or ICD9 code to trigger the reimbursement will not work. To date, MT has been very reluctant to customize the claim program (I can't blame them) to accomplish this. Any suggestions? Please respond directly.
