Hi Trish, We are C/S 5.5 SR2, but your questions really apply to either platform. We've been live with ORM since Sept. 2000 and initially printed the OR profile for inpatients and attached it to the chart because only a very limited amount of information passed from ORM to the EMR. I'm not sure which version (maybe 5.3?) it occured in, but all of the OR documentation now flows to the EMR, so we do not print any hardcopies of the profile. We also do not require the RN to sign the form. We experimented briefly with e-sign, but it was time-consuming and counterproductive so we dropped it. The user name is associated to the documentation and the Audit Trail is available if we would need it for review.
