We are magic 5.5 SR3 and since the upgrade have had problems with the
PCI merge and background jobs. If there is a PCI background job that
doesn't merge in test or live it affects our transfer of data from EDM
to PCI. We have also seen an increase in number of patient locks which
prevents orders from crossing the different applications. Never a dull
moment!

We are a client server 5.4r2 and we need to either reboot servers or
stop and restart background jobs on a regular basis. In addition the
issue often prevents clincal data from posting in the EMR from the
various applications.

Everything we have was spec'd by Meditech and JJ Wild.

We never have to reboot outside of our scheduled downtimes. We
run MS Server 2000 and 2003 for our BKG jobs and MT File servers. I do
know the last place I worked we were on NT before switching to 2000 and
2003 and had many many issues with rebooting.

                Hi,

Does anyone out there have to restart background jobs
often d/t info not transferring across the different applications? We
seem to have to restart our bkg jobs at least twice-three times a week,
sometimes that many times in one day. Does anyone else experience this?
We did it twice last night and once today b/c info from PCS was not
transferring to the EMR.

                Thanks,
