Hi, I am looking for Bedside Medication Verification/Administration and medication management solutions for long-term care facilities. The cart at the bedside is not feasible since each nurse has to give meds to the entire unit many times. So how is POC med admin being accomplished in long-term care facilities? Is anybody using the PDA scanners or other devices? Eg. Cart in hallway and PDA/scanner with pt.& med info to bedside-wireless transfer of information etc.. I saw a few demos of these devices years ago and I would like to know if anybody has some experience with them. If so, what are you using and how is it working? What are some other solutions that have worked well?
