We are CS 5.4 SR2 and we don't use proration rules. Our only reason for
not using them was because our billing department wanted to
automatically post all contractuals at the time of billing. If there
is a discrepancy, the contractual is reversed and the new amount posted
to the patient's account. So far, all is well. You must, however, use
one proration rule, CATCHALL, in order for something like this to work.

[MEDITECH-L] Proration Rules

Is there anyone who is not using Proration Rules in Billing? If so, can
you tell me why we would not want to use them?
