Hi Janet,

If I understand where you at currently and if you're not under any pressure to implement anything new (EMAR,BMV...) I would start with the clean up process. The exception might be the status board since it is more useful regardless of what you're already using. Your revisions to NUR can and should be made in consideration of the new routines as well as any enhancements. Much of the revision plan will depend on the current state of your system but generally I would recommend doing a rebuild in the next version and implementing your revisions with the roll out of say 5.6. If you haven't had one done recently, you might find an system assessment helpful prior to finalizing a plan for revisions/upgrades. Meditech and/or an outside consultant can be invaluable for this purpose and can also be helpful in the planning, rebuilding and implementation phases if needed. Hope this helps a little and please feel free to contact me for more information if needed.
Congratulations and good luck with your project,

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Progression of NUR functions
Date: Tue, 9 Jan 2007 11:52:21 -0800

BlankGood Morning,
We are a Magic 5.5 site that has utilized the NUR module for 14 years. We know we need to clean up our interventions, care plans, etc. We are almost ready to go LIVE with the status board. My question is this: What do you think is the best progression for nursing.? Do we start with POC, or the eMAR, or BMV? I'm not sure what our next step should be and I just thought maybe some of you would provide your travels in the Meditech NUR progression. I really appreciate any input, good or bad. Thank you so much.
