Well, Robert, here is an NPR that pulls the fields I need (so far) to do
some of the comparisons you are talking about. It makes a
comma-delimited file that I then link to from MS Acess and run stuff
against. I really would suggest you link so you don't have to import the
data every time you download it. Just use the same txt file name and
Access will keep the link and use the latest file. The first line is
the field name header. It is far from having all the fields from the
dictionary but will be a good start for you. HTH.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Formulary NPR Report

Hi everyone,

Has anyone developed a NPR report that can be used to download all of
the fields in the Drug Dictionary as either a CSV or TXT file? I'm
working at cleaning up my formulary and fixing some of the data entry
errors that can creep into any file this size and would love to be able
to build either a spreadsheet or a data base for identifying some of the
issues. It seems crazy that I can't run quick queries without having to
have IS write a NPR report and going through the whole testing and
development routine.

I'd be interested to hear how everyone else handles this sort of thing.

Thanks,
Bob
