This question was answered a while ago by Iatric Systems.  I
believe it was Joe Cocuzzo who had the answer.  This is it:
 
Make DAT=PINT for all your fields.
 
Meditech will not put quotes around a field that is believes 
is numeric.  I have used this technique often, so I a can 
vouch for its effectivenss.
