They wanted to do the same thing - we wrote up the spec and MEDITECH worked on it for a year. Our hospital then lost interest in having it done - but they initially had the same concerns (due to retro adjudication of claims and reimbursement corrections). On our last couple of remittances our Medicare Intermediary reprocessed all claims from 1-1-2006 forward because of a reimbursement issue, and instead of just reprocessing the impacted claims, the intermediary reprocessed all claims. To make matters worse, Medicaid went back and reprocessed claims from 6-1-2006 forward. We ended up running a selection and scripting the reorder/reprorate of the last remittance because of the volume and repetition. Have other sites experienced this type of issue?
