First and formost, they will only be as successful as the infrastructure that supports them. Our users say they would use the tablets at the bedside, if only they felt the rf was at a sufficient speed. They use Motion tablets and the only time they are really required to use the keyboard is when they log in. (Our experience with two tablets/slates over the year convinces me that emulated keyboards are considered an obstacle to users.) Also, they document medications in NOTES, so they need the keyboard for that as well. We're hoping that once they get the meds and eMAR issues we have fixed, the latter will go away. There are HP tablets that have a keyboard attached (the screen swivels and folds flat) that also address keyboard withdrawl issues.
