We are in the process of designing our CDS with the required questions for screening our ED patients for eligibility. The big problem for us right now is, where to the place/hook the CDS questions. If any of you on 'L' have any experience with the process, we would love your feedback.
A little information about Section 1011: In determining a patient's eligibility status, a provide is responsible for completing, signing and dating the form & obtaining the documents to affirmatively determine a patients eligibility. The information collected on the form is used to determine whether a patient's health care provider is eligible to receive Federal payment under section 1011 of the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act of 2003.
