PHARMACY INFORMATICS POSITION OPEN in HCHS Information Technology
Department

Halifax Community Health Systems is currently accepting applications for
the position of PHARMACY INFORMATICS.   

The position will be responsible for participating in the overall
planning, development, and implementation of health care informatics
program, products, and services, particularly to address the clinical
needs of patients and to support MT POM, MT BMV, and MT PHA as it
relates to physicians and medication ordering.    

 

The Pharmacy Informatics position will provide leadership to analyze
specific clinical area assignments, the clinical work-flow as to the
patient's plan of care; policies and procedures provide customer and
team support through cross-disciplinary task groups.  By working with
peer Functional Team Leaders, IT staff, and Emergency Services
personnel, the position will identify opportunities for process
improvement; participate in resulting solutions, as required. 

 

The position requires a graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy,
Doctor of Pharmacy/Pharm D or Masters of Science in Pharmacy preferred.
Support for MEDITECH (C/S preferred) experienced as a pharmacy users,
users should be familiar with MT (POM, OE, PHA, PCS, EMR, NPR), and/or
equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Strong analytical and
problem-solving skills.
