We also have the BAR charge editable set to Y, so that we can control the charge in PHA based on cost. The charge is sent to BAR with each transaction. To see what the charge is "supposed to be", there are two Meditech routines which may help: 1. Pharmacy MAIN menu > VIEW Dictionaries menu > PRICE QUOTE. This routine is actually designed for outpatient prescriptions, but if you know the right Order Type and Charge Formula, it will give you the price for one item also. 2. Pharmacy MAIN menu > LIST Dictionaries menu > DRUG CHARGE LIST. This routine can be used for a range of meds, and it also gives the price based on the different charge formulas. Keep in mind that the charge for a particular drug may depend on how it is used. For example, the charge for Thiamine 100 mg IM may be different from the charge associated with an ingredient of Thiamine 100 mg in an IV bag, even though it is the same PHA Drug.
