Is anyone in MEDITECH-L land using software called MEDHOST in
their Emergency Rooms ? We saw a demo
for it yesterday and it was pretty cool stuff.
Wondering if anyone is using it and if their users are happy
with it , what problems did you have , would you buy
i t again ?

1. I saw a demo of it a couple years ago and it was nice but
very expensive compared to others.
2. We love it! No major issues - some minor interface bugs but
those were worked out quickly. Yes, we would do it again in fact we are
implementing the physician documentation this year and will be
installing another Medhost setup at another facility. We have all lab
orders and radiology orders going to Meditech and working on the

3.We just looked at the webex today. Wondering how successful
interfacing with Meditech Magic has been.
4.We have a number of clients that we wrote Medhost interfaces
for. Albemarle in NC is one that comes to mind.
5. We just recently signed with MedHost for our ER. Preliminary
implementation will begin the end of February. We looked at others and
liked MedHost the best. Get in touch with me later if you would like

6. We are using Medhost in our ED. The users seem to like it,
but I would recommend going well over the hardware requirements they
give you for the servers, we've had issues with the server losing space
quickly.
7.Our ED staff are quite enthusiastic MedHost/EDMS users. We
activated ADT, ORM and ORU interfaces to MedHost in July, 2003. These
interfaces have been quite successful. I'd be happy to discuss them with
