They are still kept in D.I. 3. Did you create a new order type for the imaging drug dictionaries to use? We thought this might be helpful to track only contrast products. We just use the order type of MED but we did create a new DRUG TYPE category of DI for tracking purposes. 4. Do you use any kind of Meditech automation to alert the pharmacy to an imaging procedure that needs a contrast agent screened? We were unable to use any automation to alert the pharmacy. When the image is ordered, the order is faxed/scanned to pharmacy. Once approved, we fax it back to them with a pharmacist's signature. The DI technicians are instructed that they cannot perform the scan until they have received the return fax.
