I do not know this JCAHO standard, can someone tell me is this is required for all meds, even meds the patient has been on for years, or just a new med while in the hospital?
How do you know it is a new med, maybe they took it before, but is not listed on their home meds list? ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of jclarke Sent: Monday, January 29, 2007 9:34 AM To: Meditech-L Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Med - First Dose documentation Listserv Members - How do you accomplish documentation of Patient Education when the first dose of a medication is administered in the inpatient & outpatient setting?
