We are a CS 5.5.2 site and we use CWS for our Physical Medicine
department at our three hospitals. We use the Process Appt. Book
routine to schedule all our PT, OT, and ST procedures. We use our
therapists as resources and in Process Appt Book you can see times the
therapists are available. Once the first treatment is scheduled, we
then copy that first treatment and paste it to the dates and times for
the rest of the patient's treatments. You only have to copy the
treatment once and paste it as many times as you need. We do not use
the pending appointment function. Hope this helps.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Series Appointments
Anyone using Community Wide Scheduling for a Physical Therapy
department? I am trying to implement and cannot find an efficient way
to negotiate screens quickly to search for the therapist who can see the
patient for the first week every day, then 3x per week, then 2x per
week. It would appear that the series routine would have to be used 3
times to accomplish this. Also, when processing pending appointments
how do you quickly view the therapist who has the next 8 weeks open?
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
