MAGIC PROGRAMMER/ANALYST II
ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS DIVISION
Basic Job Functions:
1. Review, analyze and modify programming system including encoding,
testing, debugging and installing to support a Magic software application.
2. Troubleshoot, analyze and work together with the support team in
order to address customer incidences.
3. Follow standard practices and development methodology to deliver
software
4. Create documentation for Software Specifications and Analysis to
provide detailed information about future enhancements.
5. Communicate proactively and effectively with clients and coworkers
6. Recognize customer needs when addressing an issue
7. Accommodate after-hours support as needed
8. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines
9. Establish mentoring relationships with colleagues to provide
additional resources.
10. Assist in defining scope and plan for future releases of application.
11. Participate in special ad-hoc department or company-wide task forces,
beta projects, etc
12. Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Qualifications:
Studies:
· Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science preferred
Experience:
· 2-4 years of experience in customer support services with an
emphasis on troubleshooting complex technical systems applications.
· At least 2 years experience with programming in Magic.
· Experience in clinical environments preferred
· Technical troubleshooting experience
· Meditech HIS experience preferred
Computer Knowledge:
· Proficiency of Microsoft standard packages: Word, Excel, Outlook and
W2K/XP operating system at user level
Profile:
· Good communication skills
· Proven Experience solving complex technical problems within
software systems applications
· Customer services orientation
· Strong Analytical skills
Helpful:
· Certifications in related technical, clinical or
administrative discipline
