We use VFS throughout all of nursing. We use it for our Medication
documentation as the presentation is much better than Meditech's. The
only issue that I have is you can not limit by order type. I have never
had an issue with the refresh. I did try to use Visual Smart Board and
had a big issue with the refreshing of data. While we have Smart Board,
we do not use it.

I have VFS deployed to several of our Physicians and they love the fact
that they do not have to go into PCI. If there is something that they
want that is not on VFS, they can access PCI through their VFS screen.
Many of them like it because they can go to their list of inpatients
right from their MIS menu. I have put myself out there and am currently
building specific Flow Sheets for each Dr who requests them. With the
Drs this has made a difference so that they will use the computer more.
More friendly way of finding the information that they want. I had a
real struggle with them when they were only using PCI. Most physicians
do not find PCI very user friendly and there is very little way to
manipulate the data the way that they want. With VFS they can control
functions if you give them that ability. They can also change time
periods that they look at.

I have found the Iatrics people involved with VFS to be very helpful and
very attentive. I have never had to wait very long to get a response
back regarding a question or a problem.

Subject: RE: FW: [MEDITECH-L] Iatric Visual Flow Sheet

First let me say that I like Iatrics products. We have been happy with
them and thier support. The trouble we have with VFS is the refresh to
go get data. Perhaps it is our network or processor speed that is the
cause but when the screen totally disapears and waits a few seconds and
then comes back on would not be acceptable to deploy to our users,
especially Drs. You may want to look at that part. Once it's up and
refreshed, it's great. This is my opinion. Mark Champion
