I am interested in knowing what others are doing when setting up Usernames and Passwords for Physicians using MEDITECH, VPN, MEDITECH’s MIG & PACS through the Internet. With our current configuration, physicians have 2 accounts and 3 passwords they need to maintain.
1. VPN & PACS = One AD (Active Directory) username, one password on our main domain 2. MEDITECH & MIG - One username, two passwords because once you create the MIG account through MEDITECH it does not synch with the MEDITECH password. The MIG resides in a separate domain from MEDITECH & the VPN AD Accounts, therefore requiring two separate AD accounts, two separate AD passwords, and one MEDITECH password. The separate domain is recommended by MEDITECH and is only trusted one way for security purposes. Looking for a better solution.
