Jason, we use the UDS1100's little brother currently and have been for the past 4 years (the UDS-10). We have had no problems and I currently have a UDS1100 sitting on my desk that we will be trialing as a future replacement when the UDS-10 is discontinued (I believe in 2008).
I have a document that we use to setup the UDS-10's, it includes the UDS Config needed as well as the Meditech portion. I don't expect any issues in applying those settings to the UDS1100 but I will know more details after I test this out. Let me know if you would like this document.
