Well, we are sorta doing this as described below. We use the ClearCube
blade PC product. It is a type of thin client device that communicates
to a blade in our data center. Each blade can support up to 4
simultaneous connections. A "cage" will hold 8 blades. A rack will hold
12 - 14 "cages". The blades have the ability to switch their connections
to unused blades in case of a hardware issue.

I am not the technician so my explanation is probably a little quirky.
:-)

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Thin Clients

Dear Meditech Users,

Good Morning! I am inquiring to see if there are any implementations of
Meditech using Thin Clients and Windows Terminal Server 2003? If so,
approximately how many active thin clients are able to connect to each
Terminal Server? Any issues? Suggestions? We are testing Linux based and
Windows XP Embedded SP2 thin clients using RDP for communicating to MS
SERVER 2003 load balanced Terminal Servers.

Thank you so much!!
