Meditech-L,
I've seen this question arise from time to time but see no responses. Here are
my latest questions to try to trigger some responses.

Does there exist consultants or analysts that have performed feasibility
studies to actually use these new reimbursement dictionaries?

Has there been people that have translated an actual payer contract to a
Meditech Reimbursement Dictionary Rule?

There seems to be an option to actually put a contract in review mode in the
LIVE system. Have there been any facilities that have actually done this? This
seems like a useful tool to obtain actual real live reimbursement estimates
that can be calculated to negotiate contracts. According to the Meditech
documentation this can be totally transparent to the actual way the account is
now being prorated.

If this dictionary can be efficiently maintained to calculate everchanging
complicated contracts, consultants or people with this knowledge could make a
few extra bucks.

Any comments thoughts ideas banter welcomed,

Jim Purvins
