Hi everybody... We have providers here who dictate reports that do not have accounts In MEDITECH that the transcriptionists can attach them to with matching Dates of service.
For example, if a patient calls in for a prescription refill or calls To say they have to cancel their appt for today at one of our clinics, we Have providers who want this in a report as part of their record. The problem is , if the patient doesn't show up for an appt , we don't Register them . Or if they call for RX refills we don't register them. So we don't have any way to attach the dictations to a valid account. Does anyone else have this problem ? If you do , how do you handle it? We can type the reports in the Meditech temp file , but its not going to Have a name or med rec or acct associated. Thanks in advance. Gale Y.
