Hey Cindy-
If you can identify an independent "hook" - such as the MIS Profile in CS -
you can then use rules to control who FILES any specific order. Or if the
user mnemonics began with RES... you can truncate the mnemonic and evaluate
on that as well. Just incorporate a message with the REPLACE and/or ERASE
buttons in the POM ORD/FILE rules and you should be able to limit this by
order in the sets immediately.

Hope that helps - Kevin.

Subject: [SPAM] RE: [MEDITECH-L] Residents and ordering Dialysis Order Sets

Please post.... I spent a lot of time last summer working on this without
resolution. Even after sending Meditech copies of Federal and State
regulations for Residency level signature requirements, I still got NOWHERE!

BTW, same problems in LSS- same signature programs. And the clinic
signature requirements are completely different than the hospital
environment.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Residents and ordering Dialysis Order Sets
We are 5.5 Magic that went LIVE with POM in September. We have created
multiple order sets for Dialysis; including LABS, MEDS, Nursing, Therapies,
etc. Since our residents have the same signature level as the attendings
for LABS and such, they can order the Dialysis order sets without
co-signature. We have been asked by the Nephrologists to disable this
ability for residents.

We can remove only one of the order categories from their access group,
however, they will still be able to order the sets with the remaining
orders. Does any one have an order rule or other solution for this issue?

TIA
