See Answers below
1. How much training did you offer your end users? 30 minutes with
Access for the users to power point and paper user manuals
2. Did you use super-users, or did you find the initial training
adequate? Initial training was usually adequate, as always there were a
few that needed special help.
3. Did you create a separate status board for your CNA's? Yes.
4. Did you encounter any problems making the transition from The
Nursing Main Menu to the SB?
None at all. Initially I gave them access via a number
routine on the nursing menu, but they quickly wanted direct access.
5. Did you give your users access to the old menu via. a Magic key for
any length of time after going live with SB or did you make a clean break
from the old menu?
Due to some special routines that I had on the nursing
menu, I gave them direct access to the status board but gave them the
ability to pull up the previous nursing menu from the print report drop down
menu as well as the OE menu. So they did not have to leave the Status board
to access those routines that they use so often, that were not featured on
the status board. All in all, the transition was smooth and the users like
the new status board a lot.

Subject: [MEDITECH-L] Status Board questions
Hello everyone.
We are in the process of implementing the Status Board and we have a few
questions for anyone who would be willing to share.
6. How much training did you offer your end users?
7. Did you use super-users, or did you find the initial training
adequate?
8. Did you create a separate status board for your CNA's?
9. Did you encounter any problems making the transition from The
Nursing Main Menu to the SB?
10. Did you give your users access to the old menu via. a Magic key for
any length of time after going live with SB or did you make a clean break
from the old menu?
Any other pitfalls, problems encountered would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much!!!
