Dear Meditech L, Meadville Medical Center is considering doing Centralized Scheduling with CWS. We have about 10 departments online today with approximately 71 users. None of the scheduling is truly centralized.
* Has anyone ever created a truly "centralized scheduling" department? * Did it reduce or add FTE's to the process? * Can you describe how CWS streamlined the process? * Are the hours of this department expanded to give physician offices more flexibility? * Does this "centralized scheduling" department address Medication Reconciliation, Treatment Authorization #, Medical Necessity etc to ensure the physician office can have one stop shopping?
