Hi... We did this several years ago, when Medispan and Firstdatabank had merged into one company.
It went well.. There was a small cost (25% of the original interface cost I believe) to switch the interface in Meditech. We then had to have Meditech run a loop to remove the last 3 digits (GPC Code) of the NDC/DIN in our drug dictionary. (they ran this twice since the first time it didn't properly update all the index files). The GPC code is a 3 digit code that was appended on to the DIN # by Medispan for Canadian customers. Not sure if this is the case in the US. FDB doesn't use this GPC code so therefore the ndc/din's were not matching up for the update. As soon as programming removed those 3 digits, the FDB tapes loaded with success. We've been very pleased with the FDB product.
