Since our 5.5 update, we have the same issue with ED Admit Requests (now built
in ADM) and inconsistent failure. We never had the problem in 5.4 with the
EDM build. We cannot duplicate on demand, and the problem is rare in Live.
Once one fails to print (we trigger two), we cannot reprint that request by
refiling. I suspect some corruption in that one account since the very next
patient's request will print just fine. We have looked at printer setup, build
design and servers. We have made changes that our tech folks see as harmlessly
impotent but MT insists is required, with no resolution. We have also checked
background jobs and unless they come back up on their own, they are working
fine at the time.

We recently upgraded our print servers to solve printing issues with other
modules, I am still waiting to here from the ED if they have seen a failure
since. It happens so rarely, I think I need to wait at least 60 days before I
can say it's resolved.

Subject: Problem with Consults and notification printing

This is a puzzle I hope that some of you can help with. All of a sudden we are
having problems when consults or adm notifications print some times and I
stress the sometimes issue it will print fine and then the next time it prints
with only headers and not information attached. It has us puzzled since it
doesn't happen all the time. We have checked BKG job printers, reinstalled etc
and can't identify the problem. We have refilled dictionaries for consults
and notifications. We are stumped. It isn't happening all the time.
Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I tell everyone that computers are
like our children, sometimes their behavior is better then other times and we
can't explain why. Any help will be appreciated.
