Just a couple of questions for anyone that has implemented the e-signing of reports by physicians in departmental. My medical records person tells me that she is having problems with the following issue's. Meditech has not been able to help us. I just wondered how other people have handled these issues? Our main issue at this point is that the E-signed reports are not printing and being distributed upon final e-sign except for the original coming to MR. Another important issue is the inability to enter additional recipients on the prompt screen after transcribing. Also, draft reports cannot be viewed in PCI. Meditech told me to change the PCI status in the dictionary from signed to draft but when I did that, it created numerous additional problems especially for the signing physician and we certainly do not want that.
