Nancy Lucas - We have 2 different forms of reports to monitor our Phlebotomist: The first is a (100) Custom Reports Screen that we use. We have 3 reports; one for each module - Lab, Micro and Blood Bank. We have the order time, collection time, received time all following the patients name - we order this by the phlebotomist ID they enter under collected by on the receive screen. This will monitor each phlebotomist on how long it takes to collect from time of order, how long it took to return it to the lab and how long it took the lab to result out the specimen. This is the best way to monitor each phlebotomist on a individual basis - we can post their "draw numbers" and can tell if they are not backing up a busier phlebotomist too.
The second form of monitoring is a Turn Around Time Report that you custom build by shift for all the specimens on that shift that is collected by all the phlebotomist together. This may be custom built under your LIS statistics.
