Here's our problem... maybe the listers can help :) Our patients are assigned MRP/Attending based on the "Daily On Call Physician Schedule" generated by a physician scheduling system.
The problem is that sometimes the MRP changes but this isn't reflected in Admissions... their solution is they would like to edit the admission record themselves... which we don't think is a good idea. Currently they are using a patient report out of Admissions where they are the Attending for billing in their offices - this obviously isn't accurate at our site. I am looking for other ways in Meditech where they can either: 1. Assign patients to themselves and that can be their billing/rounding list. I thought maybe the PCI Self Assign might help. Our providers have unrestricted access to patients, regardless of provider group. 2. *** Any ideas about how other sites handle this challenge *** Thanks in advance! So now he must define this every time! (A MAJOR pain for them!) Meditech has a custom that will look into the provider dictionary and by default highlight the provider's group once in the look-up. This helps a lot... but when we got this custom, we failed to ask for the same functionality in the "by Provider Patients in a bed". (Can't win for losing!)
