We are evaluating Operating Room Management applications in anticipation of rolling out a system with the opening of our new unit in early 2008. We are a Meditech Magic facility running v5.5sr3. We have taken a look at Array, Picis, and Meditech. I am looking for any information from folks willing to share their experiences that have been down this road. We continue to wrestle with some of the look and feel issues related to Meditech. Weighing the value of integration and a typically low cost of ownership of the Meditech app against an app with greater functionality and a more up to date user interface is not an easy task. We need to be careful in our decision making process to be objective basing a decision on application functionality and economics involving staff to assure buy in for a successful roll out.
