It's not too difficult to put together a form drive (I have attached a sample). However, there are a couple of things to keep in mind. If you cross modules (e.g. print an ADM form and then a NUR form) things become more complex because you have to deal with opening and closing different prefixes. Also, unless you write all of your reports as fragments (a daunting task) some other job may come along and grab the printer. This is because each report `closes out' after it has printed, and then starts anew with it's own print characteristics (lpi, lines per page, etc). Yet, for the user, re-identifying the patient for each form is a real pain.
>>> "Kern, Wayne" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> 03/23/07 4:52 PM >>> A user has submitted the following request. Is this possible? The only solution I can think of is a script. --------------------------------------------------- Please investigate the possibility of batching multiple reports run by the Surgical Prep Area. There is a patient safety concern with multiple reports being printed separately - that reports from different patients will get mixed up. Specs: The user should be given one prompt for patient name and then allowed to select from multiple reports. --------------------------------------------------- Thanks Wayne Kern St. Joseph Medical Center Towson, MD The information in this communication is confidential and private and intended only for the use of the addressee.
